Temple-Inland, Inc., based in Diboll, is a holding company with operations in corrugated packaging, bleached paperboard, building products and financial services.

It is also the leading employer in the Silsbee area with plants in Silsbee and six miles outside of town in Evadale.

Corrugated packaging includes the manufacture of a complete line of corrugated containers as well as point-of-purchase displays and intricate die-cut containers. The bleached paperboard operation produces various grades of uncoated paperboard for use in paper plates, cups, file folders, paperback book covers and many other products.

The Building Products Group manufactures a wide range of building products, including lumber, plywood, particle board, gypsum wallboard and fiberboard.

Forest resources include approximately 2.2 million acres of timberland located in Texas, Louisiana, Georgia and Alabama.

The Financial Services Group consists of savings bank activities, mortgage banking, real estate development and insurance brokerage.
